Girls
I was going to write something about Lena Dunham's Girls, because I've been watching it nonstop and really like it. The writing is excellent, the characters are strange but likeable, and it says something without being overbearing or obvious. I had something deep to say about it, but in between having the thought in my head and getting to a computer it disappeared. Oh well. Enjoy this incredibly fascinating photo of me watching Girls on my laptop.
P.S. I do have something to say about the Girls soundtrack: it is equally awesome. I particularly like "Same Mistakes" by Echo-Friendly -- hearing it in the credits of one of the eps made me buy the whole thing. I think it pretty much sums up the theme of the show:
Doesn't this make you wonder what my 365 photos are going to be like after 6 months if this is what they are at 3?
I make the same mistakes -- feels like I never learn.
Always give way too much
for little in return
I haven't change a bit
I'm still not over it
I make the same mistakes
I make the same mistakes.
I never did grow up -- feels like I never will.
My friends are all adults, I'm still a teenage girl
I haven't changed a bit
I'm still not over it
I make the same mistakes
I make the same mistakes.
My friends are all a drag
They think I'm such a flake
They want to go to bed
I want to stay up late
Walking the streets alone
thinking of you till dawn
I make the same mistakes
I make the same mistakes.
