Fall Fashion Event
It's been a long, busy, and stressful week, and today was a long day. My team held their first Fall Fashion blogger event, and they did an awesome job -- with very little help from me, besides my saying, "Sure, you can spend that money!" and "That's a good idea! Go for it!"
With a pretty small budget, they turned our boring, concrete-floored fitness room into some kind of stylish girl-club, complete with DIY'd chandeliers and scarf-wrapped pillows.
We had fancy snacks...
Overall, it was fun, and I'm really proud of them. I'm not sure a year ago we could have imagined pulling together something like this. We're growing up.

and lots of sunglasses.

There were stations set up around the room where guests could DIY a pair of sunglasses to take home, get their makeup done, do a video interview for our blogs, or do a photo shoot with our photographer.

If I were a blogger, I would have been pretty excited. I was pretty excited anyway, but that was mostly because it's nice to see my team's hard work pay off, and they really pulled together something unique and fun.
I did have one job, which was to turn the lights off and on for the fashion and technology slide show during our main presenter's speech. I did an excellent job, if I say so myself, though my timing was slightly off for the initial turn off. I'll work on it.

I left the event about an hour in, after which I headed to the north side to meet with some people for dinner. Then I was veerrrryyyy sleepy. Super excited it's almost the weekend.
