Family Pictures

The official pic of the day is the one at the very end of this post, but I took so many today that I couldn't help adding a bunch. We were up at the lake this weekend for family pictures, and there were three babies around, which led everyone to act like a bunch of goobers. Including me. But they're all pretty cute. So I'm sorry for the explosion of baby pictures about to come. This is about 1/10th of what I actually took.

My cousin's baby Everett (3 months old), my grandma, Ryne (almost 6 months now), and my mom.

Everett looks a lot like his dad.

Silly kid didn't want to go to sleep.

Later in the afternoon, Grandpa decided to take the babies on a golf cart ride, so they each got to sit in Grandma's lap and go up the street. Sunday I went on my own golf cart ride, since apparently when you're thirty your Grandpa doesn't think it's necessary to take you on golf cart rides, too.

I was afraid pictures were going to be a bit chaotic with so many people there, but really it went relatively smoothly. That's probably due to our photographer, who took it all in stride.

I know it's kind of silly to take pictures of someone taking pictures, but I wanted to capture the moment.   That's one of the problems with this picture-of-the-day thing. I probably take too many pictures when I should just be enjoying where I am.

There's Finn (almost 8 months) on the left. He's got some awesome red hair.

It takes lots of people to get three babies all looking the same way and smiling.

My dad said something about how much trouble these kids would be when they're five or six years old, which made me think of Matt, Scott, and our cousin Brayden when they were little. I was the oldest of all the grandkids, so I never really had kids my own age around, but we had fun anyway. At least I remember it as fun now -- back then I was probably mostly annoyed and just wanted them to leave me alone so I could read.

Later, Ryne decided to chill out and have a beer.

And then here's the real picture of the day: an action shot for ya.
